Dual Enrollment 学生
Dual Enrollment allows high-achieving students the opportunity to meet the requirements for high school graduation while simultaneously earning college credit. This saves students time and money when they transfer to a college or university to complete their college degree. Dual enrollment classes may be completed in the students’ high school, on MECC’s campus, or online. Dual enrollment students are not eligible for federal or state 金融援助. Before you graduate high school, we encourage you to meet with a MECC Career Navigators at your school to help you with career and education planning. High School Career Navigators can assist students with:
- Making informed decisions about their career and educational plans
- Finding careers best suited to their goals and talents
- Selecting a program of study
- Navigating the MECC admissions process
- Scheduling and completing placement tests
- Enrolling in MECC dual enrollment classes
- Transitioning from high school to college

州长的学校
州长的学校 is open to rising sophomores, 初中, and seniors in the counties of Lee, 斯科特, 明智的, 和迪金森, and the City of Norton, 谁有3分.平均绩点0或更高. The two-week program features a variety of hands-on activities in one of several subject areas selected by the student. 学生 spend time in the field, 在实验室里, 在旅游, and in the classroom with the faculty of Mountain Empire Community College, receiving six college credit hours – tuition free. AIMS Higher Scholarship
The MECC AIMS Higher Scholarship encourages Virginia-resident high school students in Lee, 斯科特, 明智的, Dickenson Counties and the City of Norton to complete a challenging curriculum, and to pursue higher education. Graduating High School students who meet the requirements of the AIMS Scholars (Virginia Scholars) program will have the opportunity to attend up to two years (72 semester credits) of college without paying any tuition or fees out of pocket.
